because it made me remember to stand in my personal power and spend my time around good people,

 

and the good lord, the impulses in my mind,

and the feverish pull of the night

for giving me good writing material.

I allowed space for many of the songs to stretch into strange, sometimes discordant territory that creates an atmosphere the listener can become enveloped in. Each song is a journey all its own.

 

There's a lot of me in here. Partly because I'm the only person involved in creating the music, but also because I'm an awfully complex person, as it turns out. The songs here take you places. There are a lot of seemingly contrary, irresolvable vibes in and amongst them. The way I see the world- reality is complex, glorious, frightening, fucked up, and perfect as it is. And I think that comes through these ten songs.

 

All the songs were written, composed, recorded by yours truly, using a midi controller and various percussive instruments. Half in San Francisco, half off-grid in an Airstream trailer in the desert.
