Seeing both the beauty and pain in a situation; feeling the full weight of something you’re going through or have been through; seeing the world in a new way because of an emotionally difficult situation; gaining perspective; new ways of noticing the world
Black and white thinking; inability to gain new perspectives from painful situations; desire to stay bound to sorrows, pains, past wounds or traumas
Sometimes the saying "everything happens for a reason" sounds like BS (let's be honest) if we are going through something taxing. BUT - there can sometimes be a sense of peace and poetry in looking back and seeing how things have come to pass. Are there any access points from which you can see the poetry of your pain? Is there anything you can learn from the interconnectedness of life, patterns, or simply the necessity of going through hardship? Treat yourself with love and respect, and embrace your life path, whatever it may be.
